This course is part of a series of courses prepared by Cairo’s Workshop, Cairo’s best design and woodworking school with Mr. Ramy Wafy, who has a bachelor of applied industries with over 20 years experience in the field of decor and interior and a certified teacher for decor technicians and the founder of ART of woodworking and decor on YouTube with over 500k followers.
This is a short to the point course to teach you all what you need to know about cabinet making and how to assemble a cabinet made of manufactured wood including making and installing drawers and cabinet doors.
This course is suitable for woodworkers with basic knowledge and beginners willing to work with cabinets and need to learn the different ways of assembly accessories and techniques.
COURSE TOPICS:
Manufactured wood types and their standard sizes.
How to design and calculate the cutting sizes for your cabinet components and what is a “cut list”.
Types of hinges for cabinet doors and how to calculate cabinet door dimensions.
The different ways of constructing a drawer and how to install drawer runners.
Assemble a cabinet on your own and go home with a cabinet that has an open or closed module along with a drawer.
COURSE DURATION:
Total of 4 sessions 3 hrs each ( total of 12 hrs).
Sessions take place on Wednesday and Thursday for 2 weeks.
Morning round from 10 am till 1 pm.
Evening round from 6 pm till 9 pm.
