Woodturning basics course

Suitable for all levels

Before anything we would like to warn you that woodturning is very enjoyable and highly addictive.
The art of woodturning is a very old art and it massively developed over time. This course is a concentrated entry level and basic knowledge to get to learn about woodturning in a practical way that enable trainees to finish the course with a practical project they get to keep made out of valuable hard wood types and graduate at a level that enables them to immediately practice woodturning after finishing the course. Have to mention that this course is limited only to woodturning from the outside (spindle turning).

COURSE TOPICS:

Introduction about history of woodturning.
Understanding the principle of WoodTurning.
Components and parts of a lathe.
Woodturning chisels types and the differences between them.
Basic formations techniques, their names and what to use to make them.
Safety precautions when using a lathe.

COURSE DURATION:

4 individual classes distributed over 2 weeks through appointments to choose from.
Morning appointments:

Option 1: from 10 am to 12:30 pm
Option 2: from 1 pm to 3:30 pm

Evening appointments:

Option 1: from 5 pm to 7:30 pm
Option 2: from 8 pm to 10:30 pm

INVESTMENT & BENEFITS:

Trainees will be part of the online community where they can share progress, knowledge and get support.
fees include all materials and trainees keep their projects.
Training is conducted as one on one basis.
Maximum of 4 trainees per round with no prior experience required.
This module fees will be 5900 EGP paid in advance.

REFUND POLICY:

50% refund if cancelled more than 1 week before the course start date.
20% refund if cancelled less than 1 week before the course start date.
No refund after the course starts.
